According to Eurostat, consumer inflation in Eurozone remained unchanged 2.4% in June from the previous month, matching the preliminary estimates. This is due to a sharp decline in energy prices by 1.7%.
The core inflation, which excludes, tobacco, alcohol and food, was at 1.6% in line with expectations.
"Inflationary pressure over the policy-relevant horizon has been dampened further as some of the previously identified downside risks to the euro-area growth outlook have materialised," the ECB said in its monthly bulletin.
"Economic growth in the euro area continues to remain weak, with heightened uncertainty weighing on confidence and sentiment."
