European Union leaders vowed to push down the region's high level of youth unemployment in a horizon of two years, at the same time the aim is to provide more jobs for young people within the EU, Jose Manuel Barroso said during European leaders meeting in Paris on Tuesday. According to Eurostat, youth jobless rate in EU28 stayed at 23.5 in September, while in the EU17 the rate recorded a level of 24.1%.
