The USD/CAD exchange rate was driven by downside risks during the first half of Wednesday's trading session.
As a result, bears pushed the currency pair down towards the 55– and 100– hour simple moving averages. Also, a breakout has occurred through the lower boundary of an ascending channel. Even though technical indicators suggests bulls dominance over the pair is likely within this session, the expected movement has not occurred.
It is likely that the US Dollar tries to make a U-turn north during the following trading session; however, the weakness of the Greenback against other major currencies might not allow such moves to take place today.
