The New Zealand Dollar has been confined by a descending channel against the US Dollar since mid-April. The upper boundary of the descending channel was reached on April 19 and the exchange rate has since been moving along the aforementioned pattern.
After reaching near the 200– hour simple moving average, the NZD/USD currency pair continue to decline further south. A breakout from the weekly pivot point at 0.6976 could be expected during the following session.
If and when the previously described scenario occurs, the currency exchange rate could be heading to the lower boundary of the channel down.
