The USD/CAD exchange rate finally stopped its ascending movement. By the end of Tuesday's session, bears took control over the currency pair. However, the dominant ascending channel is still holding.
A new short-term descending pattern has been drawn. For now, its main purpose is to assist in finding where the current decline will find support.
Technical indicators suggest that the currency exchange rate could continue falling. In that case is likely to breach the lower boundary of the newly drawn channel and decline further to the weekly pivot point at 1.2901.
