The Euro traded sideways against the US Dollar, following the US Unemployment Claims data release on Thursday at 12:30 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate lost 3 pips or 0.03% after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.0840 level against the Greenback after the release.
The Department of Labor released the US unemployment Claims data, which came out worse-than-expected of 3839K compared with the forecast of 3500K.
According to the official release: "In the week ending April 25, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 3,839,000, a decrease of 603,000 from the previous week's revised level. The previous week's level was revised up by 15,000 from 4,427,000 to 4,442,000. The 4-week moving average was 5,033,250, a decrease of 757,000 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 3,750 from 5,786,500 to 5,790,250."
