The Walt Disney Company reported strong financial results for its third fiscal quarter ended June 28, 2025, with revenues up 2% to $23.7 billion and income before taxes rising 4% to $3.2 billion. Total segment operating income grew 8% to $4.6 billion, while diluted EPS more than doubled to $2.92. Adjusted EPS increased 16% to $1.61.

A major highlight was the profitability of Disney's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business within the Entertainment segment, which posted $346 million in operating income—up from a loss last year—driven by higher subscription rates and growth in subscribers. Disney+ and Hulu reached a combined 183 million subscribers. However, overall Entertainment operating income declined due to lower Content Sales and Linear Networks performance, partly linked to the Star India transaction.



The Sports segment's operating income rose to $1.0 billion, benefiting from the exclusion of Star India's prior-year losses. Domestic ESPN saw a slight 7% dip due to higher sports programming costs.

Experiences continued its strong performance, with operating income up 13% to $2.5 billion, led by a 22% gain in Domestic Parks & Experiences, boosted by increased guest spending and the launch of the Disney Treasure cruise ship.Other financial highlights include a $3.3 billion non-cash tax benefit from a change in Hulu's tax classification and a $5.2 billion increase in operating cash flow over nine months. Capital expenditures reached $6.1 billion, mainly for cruise fleet expansion.

Looking ahead, Disney expects over 10 million new Disney+ and Hulu subscribers in Q4 and projects full-year 2025 adjusted EPS of $5.85, up 18% from 2024. CEO Bob Iger emphasized continued strategic growth in streaming and global park expansion
