European stock markets opened up on the
first trading session this year, led by German shares, as investors responded positively to PMI data. However, the activity was limited as UK and US markets are closed
for a holiday. Both Stoxx Europe 600 index and French CAC 40 index
added 0.1% to 244.86 and 3,163.89, respectively. German DAX jumped 1.45%
