Dow Jones Industrial Average was steady on Wednesday despite negative news from the Eurozone. Hopes that the ECB, POBC and Fed will implement growth-boosting measures lifted US blue chips index. Dow Jones Industrial Average Index advanced by 0.05% to end the session at 13,175.64. Financials and energy companies provided the strongest support for the index. Among financials, American Express rose by 0.47% while Bank of America remained unchanged. Oil and gas companies gained momentum on the US supply report that indicated much larger than expected decline in crude oil inventories last week. Chevron and Exxon Mobil jumped by 0.17% and 0.41%. On the downside were consumer services and industrials. Among industrials, 3M and General Electric slid 0.08% and 0.52%. McDonald's also retreated by 1.66% after reporting flat July results.
