This day Historical Tester use a lot of memory. On live account. Only empty strategy use up to 700 MB. My strategy now use permitted maximum (1,999 MB). Platform show for example "725M of 1999M". Never show 800+M of 1999M. And later will come an OutOfMemory exception.

But until early this morning use max. about 500 MB. In the morning I installed server update (Windows Server 2008). Is update cause of this?

What are your historical tester settings? (How many instruments selected, what is the time frame that your are testing, etc...)

Empty strategy and one instrument. And total memory is up to 735 MB.

How can I from strategy decrease total memory if is too big? I know only how decrease used memory.

I made tests on my notebook (Windows 7) too. Notebook JFX max heap size is 999 MB. Server JFX max heap size is 1999 MB. Empty strategy use max. 102 MB total memory (on server 735 MB). I don't know why.

I analyze my full strategy on server (Windows 2008 R2 64 bit). I found big increase total memory (not used memory) up to max. heap size between end of submitOrder and begin of message ORDER_SUBMIT_OK. I again don't know why.
In this situation I found big increase up to max heap size in test on my notebook too.

I' sorry. I have found error in my strategy. After one change a had never ending cycle filling some list.

But why empty use on server much more total memory as on notebook is not clear. Probably it depends on Java Virtual Machine.
