Hello,

Is there a (preferably documented) way to use a CSV file as IFeedDescriptor?
In more detail:
A CSV file can be created by the Historical Data Manager. I would like to use this CSV file as the input of strategy backtesting. Is this possible at all?

You can't pass your own data to the Historical Tester, you can only choose the historical time interval. In JForex-SDK you can choose not only the date, but also the time, see:

Hello,

Thanks for the fast reply.
I am just wondering, then what is the purpose of the Historical Data Manger? Why is it possible to download prices as CSV files? Are there other platforms out there where CSV files can be used as input?

I am wondering the same thing i.e. what is the purpose of the historical data manager? I was thinking it could be used instead of connecting to the server for the history. I was hoping to do this in order to speed up the back testing. So, what is the purpose?
