Hello Support team,
is it possible to provide candlestick chart presentation also for Tick Bars, not only for time based periods and Range Bars ?
Currently for Tick Bars only "Bars" and "Table" is selectable.

Hello Support,
this request is moved to "Implemented Requests" already since several month, but I still cannot choose a candlestick presentation for TickBar charts in JForex client.
I'm using Demo version 2.13.37 with API version 2.6.38.1.
When this feature will be really usable in JForex Demo and Live client ?

It is not possible, because any OHLC Bar or Candlestick has an Open, High, Low and Close prices for an Interval either for Bid or Ask side, whereas a Tick only has a Tick price either for Bid or Ask side.

Hello bdheeman,
I mean TickBar charts, not Tick charts !
They have more than one tick per period and are also known as MultipleTick charts or TickVolume charts.
In JForex client you can configure TickBar charts from 2 until 100 ticks per period.
Hello support,
it's not comprehensible for me that candlestick presentation for this chart type is not yet provided whereas OHLC bar presentation is possible.

I would also like to have tickchart represented by candlesticks. I would also like to have a remaining ticks indicator. So if I set the tickbar count to 100 I would like to know how many ticks are needed till the bar is complete.

I've noted that on the EUR/USD a 100 tick bar takes about one or two minutes to form, obviously depending upon the time of day.
I've also noted that on other platforms (eg ProReal Time and Power Trader, utilising FX Grid ECN tick data) the 100 tick bars take less than half the time to form.
Question 1: Why the significant difference?
Question 2: How is Dukascopy defining a tick ? Is there a detailed definition?
Question 3: How are ticks related to volume and is can a candle be produced on volume, if so, how?
