The associated Java console appears to hang also, hence I attach a couple of screenshots, since copy/paste no longer works. The same thing happens whichever strategy I try (some have been running happily for years). The problem does not occur with a demo account using the API from within Eclipse (though I haven't upgraded to the latest API version yet), or on a live account, or when performing a backtest. To reproduce, attempt to run any strategy (that I have tried at least) locally. Screenshots are from Windows XP SP3, though the symptoms are identical on a Mac or on Windows Server 2003. onStart() never gets to write its completion message to the console. Once "hung", the only way out is to kill the relevant process. On Mac OS X jconsole still keeps working however, and doesn't reveal any deadlocked threads for example.
