Dear Contest Support,

Why is my popularity score always 0? It means that nobody visited my page or I didn't visit any other contestent's page? How can I improve it? Thanks!

The best way to get POP points is to obtain 1st, 2nd or 3rd. People want to hang out with winners. At the time of this write p chin has gone from 14 place to 3rd place today. He has zero POP points. But in the last 7 hours he has gone from 89 position to 68 position in POP

But I see many have high POP points with low places, at least not a 0 point. Maybe they previously had high places. Thanks anyway.

Sunday 21 I am updating prisechin's POP position as 23. I really do not think this person has advertised self all that much if any. The people you see who have good POP positions are good salespeople, or have very interesting trades or chats, or have done well in this month or past months.
I had one chat spot that had 41 hits in July. If you have an interesting subject or trade, people will respond. Other whys you just need to hustle people to write something on one of your chats or trades. I think to have a good chat or trade blog is better. That way, your not sucking up to people.

This is how you sell yourself here. Here is an example.
Its from AbdulQadeer
AbdulQadeer 16 Aug
i wish to success in every contest and every month....check my SYSTEM from strategy contest! and i expect for some advice or comments..... https://www.dukascopy.com/strategycontes ... bdulQadeer

He is in two contests. This by itself makes him more popular. His rank is 35 and his gain is 167,000 with only 1.3 mill ave trading size. To me this is worth looking at. So when I have time, yes, I would go check out his SYSTEM. He is in 13 position for POP .

I can not understand either how the POP score works, my visitors have increased rapidly the last week but i gain no points, some other contestants with less visitors gained some points, and i don't now how to explain that

This is what I wrote on August 21 on prisechin's page .

I really do not no if you have gone to anyones site to promote yourself. I guess you will let your trading results speak for itself. On August 18, two trading days past, you were at 89th position. Now you are in 24 position for POP. Very interesting if this gos to 10th spot by the end of the month without one commit one someone else's site.

He is now in 14 place with very little self promotions. And with very few pages of trades for other contestants to have the opportunity to comment.

Comments are way down in this months contests since so many people were knocked out early in the game.

You are right, being on the top 10 especially on top 3 it gives you a lot of visibility, and you don't have to make any efforts in self promoting. This is showing how pointless the popularity score are and beside they are so easily to manipulate them just to give some example contestant Belikewater is one of them among many others who is playing tricks with dukascopy.

You need to visit other people's page and say honest and positive things about there trade. Hopefully, they return the favor. Also you need to say more then sell or buy when you make a trade. The reason for this is because it is not recorded in the community blog page but is only recorded on your page. You need I think at least 10 characters (not 3) to have it recorded on the community blog page. Try to write something there that is interesting about your trade so that people will write back and say something back to you. That way, you will receive more POP points.

For the first three weeks you only had two people commenting on your trades. These two persons really did not give a true comment but a +1 comment which dos not mean much. In fact, they would say exactly the same thing over and over in each of your trades. Well DUK can really pick up on that and will just ignore thoughs comments. Really, if you tracked your progress in POP position not POP score, you would find out that it has only been recent, that your position in POP has become better.
