Hi there! I'wondering and I can't understand the system how Dukas points are being counted. At the begining of the day I had 100, than I lost one trade and had 95 it is OK. Now I have only 25, although I don't have drawdown's and averige pips per trade I have about 58.
P.S. I have red the rules :)
Best regards,
Peterisp

one would think low drawdown makes an excellent trader but in the first 5 days i hit 13% gain with less than 0.5% drawdown and couldnt get any points. Have a look at the top 50 rank or so and you will realize popularity is much more important than anything. I saw a guy in rank 38 with 20% LOSS on equity and something like 50% drawdown, however he had great popularity so i guess that makes him a good trader?

dont bother trying to get dukass points you are better off going for unique visits than anything. I bet a trader can get in top 10 rank with very very little gain but good popularity.....oh wait I saw that too.

hi peter,

the details can be seen in here. https://www.dukascopy.com/tradercontest/ ... ethodology

you can see how they calculate. avg. pip length is not a criteria at all..

100% of duka pts:

25% - conditional orders
25% - lowest drawdown
25% - (avg. pip earn - avg. pips lost) / 2 (risk to reward ratio)
25% - their evaluation.

Peter: i recommend you to put more reasons than just buy or sell. If you are buying at support level, stating a more specific reason will be better. For example, buying at 4hr support. or mayb since it's personal view without specific reason, they couldnt evaluate you.

moreover, u got 20 pts not because u score 5% for each category. u get 20 pts because there are 75 people who got higher dukascopy point than u..

=) i hope this helps.

As was correctly noted, your position depends not on absolute results, but on your standings in the evaluation nominations. Hence, your total place may fluctuate even if you do not conduct any activities (because your opponents' results change).

Hello Sir,

I'm a new member. I have a question about the "Duka. points". I'm not clear about the way to calculate this point, could you help me to explain more ?.

By the way, I just searched on current leaders list and see a different between:

https://www.dukascopy.com/tradercontest/?action=blog&trader=sabiri
and:
https://www.dukascopy.com/tradercontest/ ... =KeivoTran

-> They've the same number of forecastes, but "Mr. KeivoTran" have a "win/loss ratio" better than "Mr.Sabiri". And even with the "Maximum drawdown(%)", Keivotran is better. But i don't understand why is the Dukapoint of Keivo lower than Sabari ?. What happens with Dukapoint of KeivoTran ?.

Sir, could you help to explain more my question (above) ?. (I'm sorry because i'm a new fx trader, not a experience).

Thank you so much !

Best Regards
