now, i see that stop loss must be at least 10pips from entry.
If the removal of trailing stop is mandatory, i will like to suggest few other options
1) Stop loss is also allowed to move to break even.
2) Orders can only be changed once
3) minimum trail for trailing stop is 15pips from market price. in this way, the 10pips SL rule will not be broken..
i was trading live with saxo. that brokerage gave me a 20pips minimum trail.
The market changes every now and then. Sometimes our target are not hit even when economic data are release, a sharp reversal may turn against us.
Trading defensively is they key to many traders.

weiqiang Please do not confuse the Trader contest's account and platform with a regular Demo/Live platform. All those limitations do not apply there. The trailing step is available as well on a regular platform (minimal increment is 10 pips). Concerning the Stop-Loss breaking the even: that is not restricted. If the price moves in your favour, you may adjust the SL accordingly and break the even at some point.

Hi contest support,
a few other traders told me that i will be able to shift SL to breakeven. However, i wasnt able to do so even when im profitting over 20 pips.
the message that i received was "SL must be at least 10 pips".
should i reload the java again?

Now the 10 pips limitation is linked to the current market price, not to the entry price as it mistakenly was.

Hello Contest Support,
is there any way to change the minimum trailing stop from 10 pips to 4 ?? For example by programming my own strategy which would allow me to set a 4 pips trailing stop..

thank you for an answer. It is impossible to use trailing stops in the Dukascopy Trader contest. The same applies to automated strategies. The trader contest is for manual trading only.
