HSBC Final Manufacturing gauge climbs to five-month high

China's manufacturing sector grew at the fastest rate in five months, serving as an evidence of the government's success in battling the slowdown. The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) advanced to the level of 50.8 in May, which is higher than economists' expectation of 50.7. The current expansionary policy includes higher level of investment and budget spending.
