South Africa economic index grows in January

A leading economic index in South Africa increased modestly in the month of January following a slow-down at the end of 2013, the latest report unveiled by the South African Reserve Bank revealed on Tuesday. According to the report, the country's leading index jumped 0.3% on a monthly basis in January totaling 100.2 points, while in December the figure stood at 99.9.
