When did you start trading and what was your motivation?
For me the start was different than to others. It was during my Masters programme when I saw a job ad that caught my attention. So, I applied. I was a business management graduate and finance was just one of the courses I had. I went to the company's headquarters, where they showed all the applicants a movie with images from the floor. I found it very interesting, but I did not understand too much of it at that time. After the presentation we were asked to take some math tests. I had no idea about it but I saw it as a challenge being passionate about math and physics. From 50 people, just 2 remained, of which one was me. After one week of training, during which I was struggling to understand how I can sell something that I do not have, I was out in the jungle, in front of the simulator for the next two days. I remember like yesterday that I made 400 Euros in my first day. My manager came to me and said, ‘If you keep it up that way, you will be a rich woman.' And I thought to myself that this could be my great opportunity.
Thus, after my first year of trading, with all the losses I had accumulated on my account during the learning period, I still became the best trader in the entire office.
It became a passion, even if it started from 0. I saw many educated and passionate young people from this domain, yet they were not suitable for trading. Trading is not something that you can learn from university or some kind of courses, you either have it or not. Trading is more about instinct, personality and attitude. As an example, if you wanted to learn hunting, you could read all the books and watch all the movies, but you still would not be able to hunt until you find yourself alone in the woods. Only then, your instinct coupled with sound knowledge will make you a successful hunter, and you will keep on learning something new every single day.

What currency pairs do you usually trade and what is the reasoning behind your choice?

I tend to change the currencies that I am trading, as a part of my risk management. If I feel that I do not have all the necessary information regarding particular currency, or all of a sudden something is very likely to change the economic situation in one of the countries, I will be careful with the currency. I trade mostly majors on which the information is more transparent. In the foreign exchange market it is all about putting money in your pocket. So why to take the risk and go to very opaque or highly volatile currencies? No one will give me a medal for my courage, but everyone will ask me about the profit on my account instead.
This year I decided to trade the U.S. Dollar because it has a stable outlook. When I say the U.S. Dollar, I mean all the currencies in pair with the greenback. I am also passionate about the Pound. In the meantime, I will stay away from the Euro pairs.
