Canada shares advance for a sixth straight day

Canadian shares gained for a sixth straight day, making it the longest streak of gains this year, as gold price rose to a three-month high on better physical demand in U.S. and China. The Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index added 0.7% to 13,886.17 as of 9:56 a.m. Toronto time. The regional benchmark index has advanced 2.9% in the last six days, the longest climb since December 27.
