U.K. shares are little changed as gold miners gain

U.K. shares were little changed, after they advanced for three consecutive days, as a climb in gold miners compensated a drop in energy suppliers. The FTSE 100 Index added 0.1% to 6,579.67 as of 2:02 p.m. London time. The regional benchmark index advanced 0.9% past week as payrolls missed expectations. The FTSE All-Share Index increased 0.2%, while Ireland's ISEQ Index slid 0.1% today.
