The British Pound depreciated against the US Dollar, following the UK Average Earnings Index release on Tuesday at 09:30 GMT. The GBP/USD exchange currency rate lost 10 pips or 0.08% after the release. The Pound continued trading at the 1.3000 level against the Greenback after the release.
The Office for National Statistics released the UK Average Earnings Index data, which came out worse-than-expected of 2.9% compared with the forecast of 3.1%.
According to the official release: "The growth in total pay is impacted downwards by unusually high bonuses having been paid in October 2018, whereas those in October 2019 are at more typical levels."
