The Canadian Dollar weakened against the Greenback, following the Canadian GDP data release on Friday. The USD/CAD currency pair gained 21 pips, or 0.17%, to continue fluctuating in the 1.2920 area.
The Statistics Canada released Gross Domestic Product data that came out better-than-expected, contradicting with the currency price, which went upwards right after the release, however, came back to the starting level soon after.
As seen at the table of the Initial Reaction on Main Pairs, USD/CAD currency pair fluctuated the most or 0.19%, compared to the 0.18% for EUR/CAD and 0.13% for CAD/CHF and AUD/CAD currency pair.
