The Euro appreciated against the US Dollar, following the German Flash PMIs survey results release on Friday at 08:30 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate gained 21 pips or 0.17% after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.2180 level against the Greenback after the release.
Markit released the German Flash Services PMI survey results data, which came-out-better than expected of 46.8 compared with the forecast of 45.1.
According to the official release: "Tougher measures to control the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections further depressed activity across Germany's service sector at the start of the year, although overall economic output in the country continued to see support from growth in the manufacturing sector and rising goods exports."
