Hi,
My macd strategy works exactly the opposite way as it supposed to.
How it should be: when macd crosses the signal from below - go long when macd crosses the signal from above - go short
but acts the opposite way,
Please support.
Thanks

Hi,
In case the strategy behaves exactly the opposite way as expected, I suggest simply to reverse trading commands: Long instead of short and vice-versa. Trading command sides can be switched from the drop down list of the bock "Open at market".
Thanks

Hi,
I understand and i used that trick, but I just want to know why does it happen? Is it a system bug or there is something wrong with my setup.
Please support.
Thanks

Hi,
It is not a "trick" : based on your findings, you said that the strategy trades on the opposite side as expected. So a simple logic reverse either with changing the entry conditions (opposite side) OR with reversing the trade command side would resolve this.
Now, after doing a quick test, it appears that the strategy doesn't trade at all, it seems like the entry conditions are impossible to be met (at least for historical test = last week). Please double check the entry conditions logic and test again.
