Hello everyone,

This issue is currently on investigation. The Only thing we know - it exists on java 1.8.0_40+ versions.
To avoid this please follow the instructions:
1) Open Java Configuration (Start -> type "Configure Java")
2) On General Tab under Temporary Internet Files click on "Settings..."
3) Uncheck "Keep Temporary files on my computer."
4) OK

Then, you have to add platform as exception site for Java. Here's how to do it:
1) In Java Configuration window open "Security" tab and click "Edit Site List..."
2) Add https://platform.dukascopy.com
3) OK -> OK

Try to launch JForex one more time.

Good luck and have a nice day

For Windows 10 users........................

From Windows Search, type in Java. In the search results, select Configure Java. The Java Control Panel will appear.

Bob M

p.s. update............followed instructions.....still can't load JForex
What we get is left hand column of prices etc. but the remainder of the screen is blank with an upward and downward arrow :(

p.p.s. not sure why you say 1.8.0_40+ versions when release date for Update 40 was 31-12-2012 ?????

This issue depends on java version.
This does not happen with 1.8.0_40 or earlier versions of java.

Java version 1.8.0_77
STATUS: Test Completed (JForex executes with no errors)

[*]Windows 10
Java version 1.8.0_91
STATUS: Test Completed (JForex executes with no errors)

To sum up: this isn't our platform issue, this is Java 1.8 issue (Learn more: here)

Good luck and have a nice day

I would suggest you to install JForex rather than launch it through webstart, as installed JForex works on JRE 8u60 and has no such problems.

Oracle is taking care of the problem:
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8156682
Unfortunately the issue is still not resolved.
