Print from inside an indicator

Hi,
I'm trying to print from inside an indicator the values of some variables or simply a text as I can normally do from inside a strategy. Even if I can compile the indicator without error and the indicator can be run without issues, there is no way I can get the printout on the Message tab or somewhere else.
Could you please tell me if this is possible, and how to do it?
