Hi,

I had a couple of questions about getting the schedule for the economic calendar. I had two questions on the topic (I am not good at java but am getting there):

a) I have been looking for a way to generate a list of economic news releases scheduled on a future date (say tomorrow). I have some posts on this forum but they seem to be dealing with news events as they happen.
b) Is there any way of back-testing a news based strategy that basically deals with placing orders based on incoming news.

A code sample would be great but even basic pointers would be much appreaciated.
