jforex takes a lot memory,almost 1giga

why can't jforex release memory automaticlly

my system is xp .and i can be very sure that there is no virus or trojan horses in my system.

i have 2giga memory and a amd dual-core cpu

so what's the reason causing this problem

This is a java thing, not a jforex thing.

Java has its own memory manager. It uses the OS memory manager to allocate its heap space, but once that memory is allocated it will generally hang onto that memory even if you delete the memory hogging objects you have allocated under the fairly safe assumption you'll be allocating more large objects.

There probably is some mechanism in the Java API to forcefully release memory it doesn't need, but I think you'd be better served saving up $30 or so and buying more RAM for your computer because, more than likely, if that memory is available at some point, but your program was previously using it, your program will need it again later so you'll still be using a lot of memory.
