Dear Sir,

Thank you for your answer!

Still, I want to draw attention to the fact that the current implementation of Heikin Ashi in JForex platform has the following error:

Open is not: Open = [Open (previous bar) + Close (previous bar)]/2 . This is wrong!
In the original HA description the true Open = [HA_Open (previous bar) + HA_Close (previous bar)]/2

Please take note and correct this error when you will have time.

More info on HA candles can be found here: https://www.educofin.com/

Hi,
looking at Dukascopy Heiken Ashi Indicator seams that the calculation is wrong.
For the calculation of the Heiken Ashi Open it takes the Open and Close of the Previous "Normal" Bar and not the Open and Close of the Previous Heiken Ashi Bar.

Attached there are some picture about Heiken Ashi applied to GBPUSD from Dukascopy, Marketscope and Metatrader

Thanks
gspe

Dear Support,

When will the next release be available? In what version will Heikin Ashi calculation be corrected?

Best regards,
Kirilla

Dear Support,

The Trader Contest platform 'About' says it is using 2.6.38.1 JForex API version and live platform says it is using 2.6.33. As I saw, it was fixed in the version of JForex API 2.6.45.

It doesn't work on Trader Contest platform, Heikin Ashi candles are wrong.

regards,
Kirilla

Dear Support,

Could you give me an estimate about when the new 2.6.45 JFoirex API will be released in Trader Contest and live platform?

Best regards,
Kirilla

It is available in Standalone API. So you can download it, take the source code (can be found in JForexClientLibrary\libs\JForex-API-2.6.53-sources\com\dukascopy\indicators\HeikinAshiIndicator.java) and use the indicator as custom indicator.

Hello Support,

Unfortunately there is no such a path and file in a new (current) JForex-API-2.6.55...
Is it possible to download correct Heiken Ashi.java from an old one (2.6.53) ?
If not, can you add this file in here please

Thanks in advance

The path has not changed, you just need to unzip the necessary files. Alternatively you can download the sources from Dukascopy public repository:
https://www.dukascopy.com/client/jforexlib/publicrepo/com/dukascopy/api/JForex-API/2.6.55/JForex-API-2.6.55-sources.jar and then unzip the jar file (e.g. using 7zip) and then locate the indicator by the path: JForex-API-2.6.55-sources\com\dukascopy\indicators\HeikinAshiIndicator.java.

Hello,

I reopen the thread because I am testing this indicator with the last version of the platform, and it seems that the output is wrong. I can attach images if you want, but basically the candles are not correctly drawn. Can you please check that this indicator works well in the last version?

Thank you,
Regards
