Hello, on a renko chart I often see two RBs standing together at the same price level, so High of second bar is the same as of the first one, and same is for Low (instead of one being lower or higher than other). I also often see one bullish RB lower than the preceding bullish RB or bearish RB higher than the preceding bearish RB. It's on the image:

I totally don't understand how it is possible, it is kind of ruining the purpose of Renko bars...

Also, since open and close are often the same, how can I distinct bearish RBs from bullish ones while using getRenkoBar function? I'd prefer just check if(High of someBar > High of previousBar), but the issues I highlighted on a picture are making this impossible.

Ok, thanks for your time, hope to hear an answer soon! ;)

Thank you Hebasto!
I didn't realize every "strange" RB was a Sunday one. But doesn't it mean that one brick is missing? Between two red RBs there should be a green one, because after the price dropped from 1.3050 to 1.3000, the only way for it to drop again from 1.3050 to 1.3000 is to rise from 1.3000 to 1.3050 in between of two falls. BTW it's not just JForex issue, on mt4 you can have a Renko chart without "weird" bars, but the closest bar will have a giant wick, as shown on my pic.

Obviously this huge wicks in mt4 are equivalent of "wrong" bars in JForex. - And they're equally confusing. If price really skyrocketed to + 102pips, than why a platform does not simply draw two bullish RBs?

Anyway, I thank you for your answer :D , though there's still much to understand :ugeek:

There is a new version 2.29.1 out on DEMO. There are a couple of things solved on the price based period side. The base period can be changed now as well. It used to be 7 days by default. Will be shown in [] brackets now on.
The incomplete candle used to be taken into account in the next base period. It would not be anymore.
The Renko and Range bar units max limit has been increased to 1000 now.

Thank you for answer, Support!

As it shown on an image there's still inconsistent details. Period is set to 5days, but these inconsistencies are present on other periods as well.

Thank you for your work!

As you can see from the picture attached, all the moments you have mentioned were at the 5 day base period switch. The Start time confirms it. We assume this is how it should be.
As I said, the base period of 7 days was used before by default. If you prefer calculating the price aggregated periods on much longer base periods, the max limit of 7 dyas needs to be removed.
