This issue has been around for a very long time (certainly prior to 2.7 API), and still exists.
Run any strategy using the historical backtester. Watch carefully for a few bars. The currently drawing candle will be drawn following the tick price for a period of time. After a few completed candles, the new candle is simply no longer drawn in the backtester at all. All screen drawing activity stops.

Selecting Preference / Chart and changing the chart filters through the desktop client while the backtester is running will redraw the chart window, and the current candle will magically re-appear and will be re-drawn on tick for a while until the issue occurs again.

This seems to occur at any playback speed above X4 times - I haven't really tried it at lower speeds - it takes too long to wait for the problem to occur.

Would you elaborate on the settings used in HT?
What is the period and filter used in HT settings?
What is the period used in chart? Any?
What flat filters are used in any? Tools/Preferences/Charts

Period in the historical tester matches the period on the chart. I have generally been testing on a 2 Hour period in the historical tester, but from memory this occurs with any period.
Chart filter settings are irrelevant - it occurs with any type of flats filter and any type of daily candle filter.

I believe this has been fixed.
