Suggestion,

Dear Dukascopy Team,

I have seen more quality Articles in the Contest this Week, and last week.

I am glad to notice that more and more traders start to
spend more time to write Quality Analysis (Daddy Papi, Adask, Ritesh,
Adrian Ws-Fundamental Analysis, Positive) and trading Advices
and Thoughts that can be valuable for the other Traders
in the Dukascopy Community and for all the Traders World Wide.

That is the reason I think that more Traders should be incourraged
to get involved in the Article Contest to make a tighter Community
and to provide Quality and Valuable Analysis and Trading
Information for both Beginner and Professional Traders.

The Ammount of Work and Time invested by the Traders in the
Article Contest (for both the Writing of the Articles and the Promotion
in the Dukascopy Community and on the Internet and Social Networks)
is much larger than the one in the Trading Contest and Strategy Contest.

I would suggest Dukascopy to reward the Traders in correlation
with the number of articles posted in the Contest so that the Prizes
to be calculated with the number of Articles factor.
Currently the prizes are calculated in correlation with the number
of traders involved in the contest. But I think that more traders
will get involved to provide quality articles if They will get larger
prizes and for more than one Article.

This will also strenghten the interest in Dukascopy site by the Traders
that are not currently in Dukascopy Community.

It is just a suggestion that involves a larger investment from
Dukascopy Bank but I think that the R.O.I. (Return of Investment)
will be much Appreciated.(both by Marketing Purposes and Valuable
Information and Content on the Site).

PS: As for my Updates to the Analysis Articles, even if I provide valuable
Analysis and Information trough the comments of my articles that imply
a lot of work and time invested in them (sometimes I even write another
Article analysis in the comments during the Week), I would suggest to the
Dukascopy Team to remove the points from those comments from my
popularity points if You find this action more suitable for the best interest
of the Dukascopy Article Contest and Community Image.

I simply cannot understand why some traders preffer to make complaints
and to show their frustration on the Forum instead of Making their own Analysis
and to update it through comments to see how much time it consumes and how
much work it implies.

Sounds like a really well thought out plan, I agree with the idea of prizes as a % done by articles (as opposed to number entered) as it is rewarded per the time spent.

From Dukascopy's perspective it can make sense too. With a higher prize, there will be a higher trading volume needed to obtain the money, which would mean more commission for Dukascopy, And after the trader has fulfilled the total amount, Dukascopy would receive more commission as there is a higher Equity level afterwards.

Secondly A higher prize would attract more people to the contest and improve the notoriety of the contest, and better quality writers will flock to it and there will be more articles at dukascopy's disposal and this could vastly improve the assets to the community.

Some may seem that if one person was to write one article, it is unfair for him to receive the higher reward than someone who has written 4. However the person who has 4 would (ceterus paribus) have more views and popularity etc. and would rank higher (in general).

I do also agree with the point that the Author's comments shouldn't count as much to the popularity weighting as others, but I hear that the popularity rating is going to be lowered so this is less important.

Hi all

Not to refuse the ideia, but seems to me, number of articles don't mean quality of article... I think is better (to ensure better quality articles) have a complement prize for quality of article. By article quality i mean: value of content, utility of content, ease of understanding among other factors. Other possibility is to leave to readers the choice of value of this factors, but this take other problems to the contest as popularity and views do actually.

Well, just my 2 cent's to the discussion

Hi all Dukascopy Community and Dukascopy Team.

Doctortyby can i use your words to express my gratitude to Dukascopy Team and Dukascopy Community?

It was a big suprise to me to be in top10 in February Article Contest. My initial idea and still keep, is trying to express my thoughts, and try to help others who may eventually enter the forex world as i'm in very beginning learning curve and i have think "Why not ?". The articles i write for February Contest are the first articles i ever writted in english. Because of that, as we can expect, don't is easy to do for me, and i really know how bad is my english. But i can say i will try to do my best and improve it as i'm writting more and more and learn with it.
