I downloaded the Eclipse project and tried to use the sample code to connect to JForex from eclipse. I was wondering if it is possible to connect to Dukascopy server from eclipse via proxy server?

Thanks
Arnab

Are you planning to support this?

JForex does not support HTTP protocol. Thus you do not need to use any Proxy Server. Please notice the firewall TCP/IP port 10443 must be open.

I found that the JNLP connection url is https://www.dukascopy.com/client/demo/j ... forex.jnlp and so I thought that the entire thing is via HTTPS. Is it only for authentication and then the system creates TCP/IP connection?

I use my laptop for trading from home and have no problem connecting to JForex. At the office I connect to the internet through a proxy server (Squid) and am unable to connect to JForex.

1) What proxy server settings are required?
2) Will I be able to connect through the proxy server for the Trader Contest?

Thanks!

You need a proxy access through 443 port for a platform launching.
The platform creates a TCP/IP connection through 10443 port.

Be sure that your Java Network Proxy is set up correctly.
In Java Control Panel, press "Network Setting..." button. Check "Direct connection" radio-button.
