Hi,

For my testing I often need to increase the max-heap-size of the jnlp file in order
to test my multi-instruments strategies.

Here is the line :

Quote:
<java version="1.6+" initial-heap-size="32m" max-heap-size="4096m"/>

Lately, the tester is rapidly lagging, so I checked the memory heap in the JForex GUI and it says
max size : 455Mb. My strategies are often reaching easily 3Gb but not now.

It seems that Jforex does not anymore take into account the max-heap-size specified in the jnlp file.

Thanks for the help.

Nicolas

Hello

Someone moved this post from the automated trading forum to the Faq but no response ?
This is annoying, the tester does rapidly reach the default 512m heap size and then backtests are taking an eternity !

Thanks support for the response, I'm waiting since a week.

Kind regards.

I've noticed that Java 6 Update 45 Java Web Start fails to set the heap
size, often on the "first run" after some component downloads. But,
thereafter, the JForex platform launches do respect the revised heap size values.

So, as usual, it's Java Web Start that has "gotchas". :)

Hello,

Is there a way to set the max heap size higher than 1024m ? I am trying to set it to 2048m but the platform doesn't start. The max value I can start the platform is 1024m.

I am using Java 7 Update 67 (build 1.7.0_67-b01) and JForex API ver.2.10.3 ... on Windows 8 64bit.

Thank you for your help.
