bug or working_as_designed in ZigZag?

Please take a look on the attached 2 screenshots, which shows the ZigZag indicator `in action` on the Historical Tester.

On the 1st picture (Capture01.png) the a new SHORT ZigZag section is created.
On the 2nd picture (Capture02.png) this previously created SHORT section disappears, and the previous LONG section is being extended.

Is this a normal behavior of the indicator? I thought whenever a section is created, it cannot be deleted. Only extension of the existing section, or new section creation are valid `steps`.


Note: The coloring is buggy, as the on the 1st picture (Capture01.png) the new section should be red, and on the second picture (Captrue02.png) the extended section should be green. But (at this moment) I don`t care about the colors, as a couple of ticks later the coloring turns correct.

Hi tcsabina,

I would have thought this is intended behaviour for this indicator. At least it works that way in MT4 aswell. There are lots of articles about it. google "ZigZag redraw" or "ZigZag repaint".
Some people have created versions that don't redraw as well.

Ah okay, so that is what 'redraw' means :roll:
