It would be nicer to get the status itself: something like CONNECTED or DISCONNECTED

It is possible to check by getContent()

          if (message.getType() == IMessage.Type.CONNECTION_STATUS){
             if (message.getContent().equals("Disconnected")) {             
             }
             if (message.getContent().equals("Connected")) {       
             }
          }
