This is a major usability issue.
Rather than scrolling 1 bar at a time, the amount scrolled should be proportional to the number of candles being shown in the window (I think MetaTrader does about 15%), so that zoomed out charts automatically scroll more bars than zoomed in charts.
Also, implementing horizontal PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN for charts would help a lot.
(I noticed SHIFT+ARROW provides one way of scrolling a little faster, but it is still very slow.)

Shift button makes it scroll much faster. We will add the possibility to use PageUp/Down keys.
