Proxy/Firewall

I'm working daytime for a big company in Switzerland - they have proxies and firewalls all over the place.
I don't get JForex to work (due to the proxy I suppose) but also not the Web platform (tested with IE and Chrome).

What exactly is the Web platform doing resp. what special needs are there as it seems that a standard HTTP-connection is not enough?

Thank you.

Java platform

Be sure that your Java Network Proxy is setup correctly. In Java Control Panel, press "Network Setting..." button and check "Direct connection" radio-button.
Be sure that your firewall is setup correctly. The firewall TCP/IP port 10443 must be opened.

Web platform

Web platform uses HTTPS 443 port.

Use Proxifier (www.proxifier.com) if you are not in charge of a company router ;)
