Is it only for authentication and then the system creates TCP/IP connection?

You need a proxy access through 443 port for a platform launching.
The platform creates a TCP/IP connection through 10443 port.

Be sure that your Java Network Proxy is set up correctly.
In Java Control Panel, press "Network Setting..." button. Check "Direct connection" radio-button.

dear at DukasCopy

would you please see as feasible that the client could actually use SOCKS5 java settings for this TCP/IP connection?

I would like to add that SOCKS5 tunnel works for me using Web platform in Firefox, see screenshots

so I was thinking that java could be set to use this tunnel too and running JForex would be no problem.

If you use Web platform, you do not need configure the Java settings.

agreed, no problem with that; I was commenting on Firefox using SOCKS5 proxy that is set to localhost:1080 which dynamically forwards connections through SSL tunnel that is being set up using Putty to connect to my home machine.

my question was regarding java SOCKS5 proxy settings and the possibility of jForex actualy using SOCKS5 java proxy settings for its TCP/IP connection. Would you please reply to this question?

so you could actually leave my post in JForex Through Proxy topic OR rename it to "JForex through SOCKS5"

You need some virtual network manager covering all your TCP/IP activity. Please take a look at https://widecap.ru/en/

Hi Horacio

I think I have the problem as you had (I cannot connect to Jforex due to firewall/proxy restrictions). It seems that you found a solution by port forwarding and using wincap. Would you be so kind to give me some instruction on how to do this as not matter how much I search I cannot seem to get it to work.
