I'd love to be able to call the historical tester from my own code when developing a strategy and optimizing it's parameters. Is this possible?
The ugly alternative is to write my own historical tester. Something I'd like to avoid, but certainly a workable alternative.
Is this possible or planned?
Thanks!

I understand there is going to be the above release to enable to development of systems without the need to run the JForex applications. I.e. I can develop a standalone application using e.g. Eclipse and have it interact with Dukascopy accounts directly.
Can you give me some more info on this please and a link to the api docs, etc.
Thanks.

There is no links and infos yet. Yesterday were released JForex API 2.3 , mentioned feature (single JAR) will be available together with API 2.4 release. Need to say that this will not be delayed and will have a bunch of cool stuff. BTW. You can develop strategies in Eclipse or other IDE right now, only to run you have to use the platform.

Very cool!
I'm a lot looking forward to API 2.4 then! When about can we expect the release of 2.4? Is the release likely to happen within the next 4 weeks or the next 2-3 months, or ...?
Thanks, RR.

I have the same issue.
So far I can develop strategies in Eclipse, but I have to use the platform to run and test them.
Is there any link/command/code snippet to achieve this from within the IDE?
Thanks for your help.

I think I understood how to run a strategy from within Eclipse for a DEMO account;
is it also possible for LIVE accounts?
With which parameters? how to give the server the PIN code, required for a LIVE account?
Thanks in advance.
