If we could disable it, or make it smaller, would be great. A bit intrusive to take up all screen, especially since the login process sometimes takes a while, so I switch to doing something else, then all of a sudden my screen is blocked.

btw and fyi, on multi-monitor systems the splash screen is always shown on the main screen, even if the login-dialog and the application are opened on another monitor.
