1. When the internet drops out for a short while, the platform reconnects itself. When the internet drops out for longer periods, the platform does not reconnect itself and the file>reconnect option is grayed out. This forces a logout/login cycle. Is the auto reconnect timeout function adjustable? Can the reconnect function be enabled?

There is no such property (reconnect timeout) of the platform.

2.
Double-click on the object, and when it is in the edit mode (you see some visible change on the object), hit delete.
You can also do this on the tree-navigation panel on the left side, where everything is listed for the chart: indicators, chart-object, etc. Just select the object you want to delete, and hit Del key.
