I use Chrome on Windows 7. For many months, I have experienced faulty login dialog response from this support forum.

I doubt that I'm the only one who has these issues. It's so bad, I just do the workaround of refreshing the browser, and don't bother to complain. Well, here's my complaint, hoping someone else might have the same issues and the login can be improved.

I won't bother making a video (yet) of what happens, but basically, the following occur frequently:

1) Failure of the login dialog to populate with the prompts
2) Failure of the dialog to disappear and show me logged in...
3) ...making it necessary for me to refresh the browser and "Look, I'm actually logged in !"
4) Sometimes the login dialog won't appear at all.

Now I run a reasonably "tight ship" with a highly tuned and up to date system, mostly.

I can't believe I am the only one who experiences CONSTANT problems with the login dialog on this forum. It just doesn't make much sense.

So, in summary, yes, I can log in alright, but the dialog malfunctions, almost EVERY time.

Behind the scenes I know that I am logged in, and the "cookie" is set. So I just have to refresh the browser and I see that I am logged in.

But that ain't how it should work, so DOES ANYBODY ELSE have the same issues?

What I have (with FireFox):

When I try to login, and click the Login button on the toolbar (next to Search), the login window pops up. I type my credentials, hit Enter and after a couple of seconds the filled text disappears. I close then the login window (with the X in to top right corner) as nothing is happening, hit an F5, and voilà, I am logged in :).

There is, indeed an issue.
