Hi,
sometimes I only need a quote and not a steady stream of ticks from a currency.
I tried to get a quote using IHistory.getLastTick(), but I am getting an error that the instrument is not subscribed.
Is there any other way I can get the current quote of an instrument without subscribing? Or do I always need to subscribe, get the quote, and then unsubscribe?

To work with any ITimedData you need to have a subscription for corresponding instrument.

hello,
Subscribing to many instruments makes the strategy very slow. Especially when we only need all the ticks.
Isn't there a way to a shortcut this problem ? subscribing and unsubscribing is a way but it is time consuming as well ?
Can we just subscribe to get quotes of 5 MINs for example instead of tick quotes ?
