Hello,

The page for the MQL Converter to be able to convert a strategy from MT4 seems to have been changed. Please provide the updated (perma-)link:

Thanks,
Burton

Due to missing customer demand, Dukascopy Bank has decided to cease the Strategy Converter/Connector functionality from the JForex platform. Please note that indicators and strategies automatically converted by Strategy Converter/Connector on JForex platform will no longer work with the JForex platform and API:

from the 13st of July 2017 on DEMO
from the 20th of July 2017 on LIVE

Strategies and indicators created in JForex and/or VisualJForex will not be influenced by the change and will continue to be supported by Dukascopy Group and its white label partners.
For any additional inquiries, please feel free to contact Support Team.

This is very dissatisfying.... why do indicators and strategies automatically converted by MQL converter no longer work in your platform and API?

- Will your Support Team now be converting MQ4/MQ5 strategies instead? Via Email?
- Is it guranteed that the strategies/indicators converted by your Support Team will be kept CONFIDENTIAL?
- What alternatives (robots) will you be proposing soon??
- Why will the current automated conversions be effected!?

Why couldnt you just keep the existing converter running? Even if it doesnt convert perfectly, it sometimes would only need some minor code polishing for it to work properly...!?

I hope to read your reply shortly....!! Thanks!

Have the 'null pointer exceptions' in .mq4 files lead to this change re: API+ converter?

Any solution yet?

Yes. This is VERY disappointing.

This reason alone, may be a reason why I leave Dukascopy. Never had any other issue, except for this one. Which is a BIG one.

We are a live-account member with over $1 million USD in potential trading capital.

We've created a lot of stuff in MQL over the 8+ years we have been with Dukascopy using the converter to ensure strategies worked seamlessly with their platform/servers.

Now we are forced to port them over to MT4 (which is actually slightly different) using a third-party company MT4-Dukascopy bridge.

If we have to go that route, why not just go to another MT4 broker and cut out the MT4 middle-man and all the reliability risks that exist when working with multiple partners?

The whole advantage of Dukascopy MQL was the efficiency in which an MQL4 strategy ran -natively- in the platform. They executed and worked flawlessly.

I was very impressed with how well the converter works. There was no major issue.

They really need to bring this back, stop updating it further and let it run the way it runs, so that existing strategies built through it may continue to work.

Inform all users (new and old), that all strategies may not convert. Let them have the option.

This at least allows the people who have already created working strategies in the platform to continue to run their strategies.

Like I said, very disappointing. I've never complained about Dukascopy in my 8+ years with them - until now.

Bring the MQL-converter back, trust me.

- xtreme
