Hi,
I have coded a custom indicator, which works as it should in different time-frames. So for example it works well on a 30 minute EURUSD chart and it also work well on a 60 minute EURUSD chart. However, if I change the interval of the chart from 60 to 30 minutes (or vice-versa) while the indicator is still applied, then it throws various null pointer errors. My question is what happens to indicator calculations if the interval of the underlying chart is changed?
a) is the onStart() method applied again?
b) are all the output arrays erased on interval change?
Any suggestions on how to correct this error would be welcome.
