Hi,

- Can I run the Historical Tester (HT) as a standalone application?

- Can I feed the HT with my own input?

- When using the HT, is it possible to get the trades (e.g., output them to a file) made for each combination (more specifically, I'm interested in the enter and exit timestamps in order to see when different strategy trades overlap)?

- Is there a maximum number of combinations (that you recommend) when using the Historical Tester? Or is it dependant on my computer specs?

- It would be nice to be able to specify "step" and "max" values in the Java src as well so that I do not have to set these values every time I want to start a performance run.

Thanks.

Regards,
Henrik

Yes, a strategy can collect this data, see:

There is no limit set, but of course, the more the data, the bigger the RAM and the file system usage.

Please make platform-module requests in the Trading Platforms section.

Hi again,

- If running the HT as a standalone app, can I start performance runs as well (i.e., tune parameters in a simple way just like with the java web start app)?

Regards,
Henrik

There is no specific JForex-API functionality, however, you can implement this on your own, see the discussion here:
