I'm seriously considering drafting and getting support from Dukascopy for the commissioning of one similar to this one existing for JForex's inferior cousin Metatrader:
Expert Advisor Programming for MetaTrader 5: Creating automated trading systems in the MQL5 language

In my mind, the Wiki, Javadocs and ongoing Support are all excellent and a very good job is being done in these areas.

I'm still curious for opinions on the value for something providing comprehensive coverage of the JForex API/Visual JForex system with examples going over various applicable techniques, especially for those new to Java/logical problem solving and of course those wanting to experiment with strategy development and needing an ordered reference to hand.

Two possible barriers would be first the price, it wouldn't be cheap, and second the API and platforms are rapidly evolving. I think the second point might be a big one.

Anyways, just a thought and request for opinion :)

I think it would have value but you would have to provide more than what is available by searching the wiki and forums. Or at least make it a lot easier.

Maybe provide more code samples to help people. I assume you would have to decide if you are going to help new people or people who are already familiar

You may have to provide regular updates to keep up with the api releases

Each concept in wiki is supplied by an example strategy, many of them - with multiple examples. Could you please specify what additional examples would you find helpful?
