After following the four steps on https://www.dukascopy.com/wiki/#Use_in_NetBeans, the following warning message is displayed in Netbeans:

Some problems were encountered while building the effective model for com.dukascopy.dds2:JForex-SDK:jar:2.22.1
'build.plugins.plugin.version' for org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-compiler-plugin is missing. @ line 65, column 12

It is highly recommended to fix these problems because they threaten the stability of your build.

For this reason, future Maven versions might no longer support building such malformed projects.


Is there anything I can/should do about it?

Further information:
NetBeans IDE 7.1.2 (Build 201204101705)
Java: 1.7.0_05; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.1-b03
System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_ZA (nb)

Add the compiler plugin version, i.e., under the line:
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
add:
<version>3.0</version>

Thanks! That warning is gone but I still get this message:

Does it matter? (I intend to run the jar file on a different machine. The resulting jar isn't somehow platform dependent or is it?)

Thank you. So hopefully its just again a matter of adding a line to the POM file.

Is there a reason why the POM file at https://www.dukascopy.com/client/jforexlib/JForex-SDK.zip cannot include the two modifications discussed in this thread?

The first is already there, the second will be there with the next release.
